Flagyl is used for the treatment of acne, as well as for the management of rosacea. It is also used to treat and prevents the spread of acne in women.

Dosage/Direction for Use

The recommended dose of Flagyl is 250 mg. In general, Flagyl should be taken once daily with or without food. Do not take multiple doses of Flagyl for different durations of time. Swallow Flagyl whole with water, without crushing or breaking the tablet. Flagyl tablets may be taken with or without food. It may take a little longer to notice the full effect of Flagyl. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or do not understand the instructions. Your doctor may advise you to take Flagyl at least 2 hours after a meal or up to 3 hours after a meal. It may take up to 4 days for Flagyl to take effect. Flagyl may cause nausea or vomiting. You may notice some redness or irritated the eyes. If this happens, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly. If you experience any of these or these stomach cramps, stop taking Flagyl and contact your doctor immediately: nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, stomach cramps, diarrhea, or constipation.

It may also take a little longer for Flagyl to start working. It may take a little longer to notice the full effects of Flagyl. It may also take some time for Flagyl to reach full effect. Flagyl tablets may cause nausea or vomiting. You may also experience redness or irritation on the affected skin area. If you have any questions or need help with diarrhea, speak to your doctor.

Flagyl tablets may make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Avoid exposure to sunlight. If you get sunburned, do not use sunscreen and wear protective clothing, sunglasses, or sunscreen that is SPF 15 or higher. Wear loose-fitting clothing and wear it that you will wear at least 4 hours after a meal. Keep all exposed areas clean and protect them from direct sunlight. Store Flagyl tablets at room temperature away from moisture and light. Flagyl tablets may break down if exposed to heat, sunlight, and moisture. Flagyl tablets may cause stomach irritation. If you get stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea, or constipation, tell your doctor immediately. If you experience any side effects such as light-headedness, nervousness, a fast heartbeat, or a fast or uneven heartbeat, contact your doctor immediately.
